Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Konstantinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crazy Horse has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Aleksander Konstantinov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleksander Konstantinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Crazy Horse!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konstantinov throws a combination. Horse tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Konstantinov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Konstantinov displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Horse closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Horse decides to stand up, so the ref orders Konstantinov to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Konstantinov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Horse eats them both and turns towards Konstantinov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Horse throws a head kick but Konstantinov moves out of range.
Konstantinov appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Konstantinov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Horse back to the cage. Konstantinov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Konstantinov doesn't manage to clinch there - Horse circles away.
Konstantinov scores with a nice right hand.
Konstantinov looks to land a combination but Horse avoids it well.

Horse dives in and scores a takedown into Konstantinov's guard.
Horse trying to control the position from guard on top but Konstantinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Horse is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Horse passes into half guard.
Horse stalling away here and it's allowed Konstantinov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Konstantinov is looking to stand up but Horse isn't so interested in that idea.
Konstantinov looking for a sweep. Not yet Konstantinov, not yet.
Konstantinov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Konstantinov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Horse stops Konstantinov from standing up.

Horse keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Konstantinov's head.
Horse slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Konstantinov moves out of range of the leg kick from Horse.
Konstantinov misses with a series of wild punches.
A left and a right from Konstantinov both land. Nice combination.
Konstantinov scores with a jab to the jaw.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Horse.
Konstantinov is breathing heavily.

Horse decides to stand back up. Horse steps back and let's Konstantinov get back to his feet.

Horse looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Horse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Konstantinov sees it coming and defends easily.

Konstantinov looks like he's trying to stand up.
Horse seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Konstantinov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aleksander Konstantinov will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Konstantinov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Konstantinov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Konstantinov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Konstantinov.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Horse.
Konstantinov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Horse. Horse circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Konstantinov tries a knee to the head but Horse blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horse has Konstantinov pressed against the cage, preventing Konstantinov from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Horse tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Horse prevents Konstantinov from breaking the clinch.
Horse wants a takedown but no success here.

Horse gets control of Konstantinov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Horse will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Konstantinov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Horse can do to turn this around?

Konstantinov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Horse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Konstantinov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Horse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Konstantinov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Konstantinov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Konstantinov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Horse is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Horse has escaped and now he's on top!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Horse throwing strikes from guard but Konstantinov blocks nicely.
Konstantinov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Horse advances to half guard.
Horse is looking to take a break and control but Konstantinov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horse stands up and beckons Konstantinov to join him on the feet.

Konstantinov throws a series of strikes that have Horse backpedaling.

Horse gets the takedown into side control.
Konstantinov is looking to get back to his feet here but Horse is keeping cool and he's managed to take Konstantinov's back.
Horse keeps control of the position easily here as Konstantinov tries to buck him off.

Crazy Horse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Konstantinov throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Konstantinov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Konstantinov duly obliges.
Konstantinov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Horse shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Konstantinov's guard.

Horse is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Horse is looking to take a break and control but Konstantinov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Horse misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Horse swings around for an armbar but Konstantinov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Horse's guard.
Konstantinov is fighting to break Horse's control of his arms but Horse is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Horse is looking for a triangle but Konstantinov pushes his legs off easily.
Konstantinov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Konstantinov throws a strike but Horse rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Horse wants to control from the top but Konstantinov keeps moving.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aleksander Konstantinov.
I think Konstantinov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
