Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grim Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Testo Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grim Ace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Testo Speed!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed gets a takedown into half guard.
Speed prevents Ace from standing back up.
Speed stands up and beckons Ace to join him on the feet.
Ace throws a body punch but Speed moves out of range.
Speed checks a leg kick.
Speed shoots for a double leg takedown but Ace sprawls well. He's pushed Speed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ace tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Speed is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Speed looking to score a takedown here. Ace is defending well but Speed drives through and ends up in Ace's guard.
Ace is pulling down on Speed's head. It's preventing any offense from Speed, at least for the moment.

Speed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Speed is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Speed landing with the ground and pound.
Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ace swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Speed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ace wants to stand and escape but Speed is having none of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ace keeps the fight on the outside.
No joy there for Ace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Speed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ace circles away.
Ace throwing a counter right hand but Speed manages to avoid it.
Speed takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ace throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Speed was covering up waiting for the punch and Ace finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ace tries to free his leg and advance position but Speed is retaining full guard.
Speed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ace manages to get himself to full guard.

Speed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Speed slips nicely into half guard.
Ace is breathing heavily.
Speed postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ace to stand up.
Testo Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ace moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Speed moves into range and clinches up with Ace.
Speed wants a takedown but no success here.
Grim Ace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Testo Speed.
Speed changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ace fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ace throws a body punch but Speed moves out of range.
Speed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Speed stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ace keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ace moves in looking to clinch but Speed pushes him off.
Speed looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ace!
Speed has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Ace tries to clinch but Speed is having none of it.
Speed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Testo Speed dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ace staying out of range there.
Ace slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Speed swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Speed feints the counter takedown.
Speed tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ace swivels and escapes.
Speed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ace tries to avoid it but Speed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ace to the ground. Ace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Speed tries to keep at a distance but Ace has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Ace fails to land.
Speed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Speed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Grim Ace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Speed takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Speed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd cheers as Ace lands an impressive looking overhand right. Speed doesn't seem phased though.
Ace connects with a good right hand that stumbles Speed. Speed circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Speed with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Grim Ace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Testo Speed.
Speed fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Speed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ace getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Ace throws a nice outside leg kick.
Speed tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ace defends well and Speed ends up having to push Ace into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ace went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Speed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ace feints a jab promting Speed to slip. Ace then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Speed slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ace uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Speed has time to react.
Speed fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ace lands with a right hand.
Ace lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ace gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ace is leaning against Speed and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Speed blocks an elbow strike from Ace.
Ace trying to land knees to the body.
Ace prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ace's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Speed misses with a takedown
and Ace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ace swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Speed.
Ace wants to clinch up but Speed keeps it at a distance.

and Speed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ace throws a head kick that Speed semi-blocks.
Ace lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Speed is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ace is defending well though. Speed let's go of the attempt for now.
Speed has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Ace.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Speed wants to clinch up but Ace keeps it at a distance.
Ace is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Speed.
Speed misses with a double jab
and Ace counters with a shoot takedown. Speed fights it but they end up in guard.
Speed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ace's guard.

Speed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Speed cracks Ace with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Speed with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Speed lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Speed postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ace looks a forlorn figure.

Testo Speed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Speed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
