Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lamont Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Blood!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood fails with the takedown.
Blood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blood dives in and grabs Chase's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes down on Blood's head and hops out.
Chase could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chase throws a sloppy head kick and Blood moves out of range easily.

Blood instigates a clinch.
Chase gets underhooks to prevent Blood's takedown attempt.
Lamont Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Blood.

Chase leaves Blood with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chase jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chase takes a swing at Blood's ribcage but misses.
Blood wants to counter the offense by Chase and move into the clinch position.
Blood shoots in looking for a takedown but Chase manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blood's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Blood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chase circles away quickly and effectively.

Chase wants to get up but he can't break Blood's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Blood is looking to sweep but instead, Chase has passed into half guard.

Blood pushes Chase off and scrambles back to his feet.

Chase changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Blood.
Horrible takedown attempt by Blood or perhaps it was just good defense by Chase, which made it look bad.

Blood has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Chase off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Blood looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chase is fending him off so far but Blood persists. Nope, Chase circles away and we're back to standing.
Chase seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Blood shoots in for a takedown but Chase shows good takedown defense.
Chase looks to score with a jab to the body but Blood is just out of range.

Blood moves into range and clinches up with Chase.
Chase tries to pull guard but Blood forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Blood gets control of Chase's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

John Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chase has Blood pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blood manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Chase is working for a kimura but Blood is defending it quite comfortably.

Chase wants to get up but he can't break Blood's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Blood. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Chase decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blood, up you get!
