Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Sinlet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sebastian Ryder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Sinlet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sebastian Ryder!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryder has a takedown stuffed.

Ryder has Sinlet up against the cage in a clinch.

Sinlet is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ryder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sinlet to the mat. Sinlet regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ryder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sinlet has a closed guard, preventing Ryder from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sinlet keeping moving, preventing Ryder from controlling successfully.

Sinlet wants to sweep here but Ryder controlling him for the moment.
Ryder wants to pass the guard but Sinlet is keeping the position.
Ryder controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sinlet misses with a series of wild punches.

Ryder shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sinlet napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sinlet is breathing heavily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Ryder thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ryder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sinlet keeps working.
Sinlet wants to get back to his feet but Ryder drags him back down.
Ryder tries to move to mount but Sinlet blocks the move with his legs.
Ryder scoring with punches and elbows.
Ryder controls the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ryder thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ryder wants to stand but Sinlet has his arm trapped.
Ryder is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sinlet will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Sinlet manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ryder winds up and cracks Sinlet with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ryder is looking for a kimura here.
Ryder uses his free foot to push down on Sinlet's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sinlet.
Sinlet tries to hold on but Ryder pushes him away.
Ryder can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sinlet is looking to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ryder with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sebastian Ryder dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Ryder closes the distance and pushes Sinlet back into the cage.
Sinlet is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ryder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sinlet clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Ryder working for a choke but Sinlet reverses nicely into Ryder 's guard.
Ryder has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ryder wants to control the position but Sinlet says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Ryder gets back to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ryder can do anything to dispel that myth.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ryder is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sinlet defends well.
Ryder tries to strike from the bottom.
Ryder keeping moving, preventing Sinlet from controlling successfully.

Ryder has his foot on Sinlet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sinlet works his way back into a safe position though.

Ryder looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sinlet has picked Ryder up and slammed him! Ryder can't keep hold of the triangle and Sinlet manages to pass to side control!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ryder. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Sinlet in side control, throwing shots but Ryder defends.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sinlet laying and praying for a moment but Ryder takes advantage and regains half guard.

Ryder wants to get back to full guard.
Sinlet is trying to control. Ryder wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ryder actively working from the bottom here.

Sinlet keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sinlet stops Ryder from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sinlet lands with an uppercut that bounces Ryder off the cage and back into range.

Sinlet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryder's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ryder is on top in guard.

Sinlet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ryder pushes down on Sinlet's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sinlet is staying active underneath Ryder, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ryder is pressing down on Sinlet's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sinlet is holding on for now.
Ryder passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ryder cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sebastian Ryder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Ryder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sinlet sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pat Sinlet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ryder successfully pulls guard.
Sebastian Ryder has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ryder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ryder controls Sinlet momentarily but Sinlet frees himself.

Ryder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sinlet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sinlet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ryder tries to lock up and control but Sinlet gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ryder bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ryder takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Ryder is working for a submission of some sort.
Sinlet is not content to let Ryder control the position.

I would just about give that final round to Sebastian Ryder.
I've got Ryder winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
