Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ian Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johny Witson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Witson moves into the clinch. Witson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Turner in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Turner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Witson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Witson manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Witson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Turner tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Witson easily slips into full mount! Turner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Turner tries to get out of the position. Witson landing punches. Poor strikes thrown by Witson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

A nice elbow there by Witson. Witson prevents Turner from getting the reversal. Witson punching from mount but Turner doing a good job of avoiding damage. Witson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Turner is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Damage , so we'll see if he gets out of it. Witson trying to control but Turner is having none of it. Turner in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Witson throwing strikes here but Turner is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Witson looking to ground and pound but Turner is blocking nicely. Witson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Turner because Witson loaded up on that one. Witson tries to control but Turner wriggling away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Witson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Witson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Turner is looking to escape. Witson looking to ground and pound but Turner is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Witson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Turner down to the mat. Turner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Witson throws a push kick but Turner slaps the foot to one side. A head kick misses from Turner. Turner just misses with a punch to the body.
Turner scores with a jab to the body. Turner closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Witson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Turner avoids it. A right hook to the body lands for Witson.

Witson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Turner is defending well. Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Turner tries to clinch up but Witson circles away and keeps his distance. Witson misses with a wild body shot. Good shot there by Turner. Witson is looking to clinch. Turner just misses with a punch to the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Witson. Turner moves out of range of the body kick. Witson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Good work by Witson as he checks the leg kick. Witson closes the distance and pushes Turner back into the cage. Turner tries to throw a body punch but Witson avoids it by throwing Turner back against the cage. Turner stops a takedown attempt from Witson.
Ian Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Witson. Witson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turner gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turner pushes off an throws an elbow but Witson leans to the side and avoids it. A head kick misses from Witson. Johny Witson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Witson darts in looking for a takedown but Turner gets double underhooks and turns Witson into the cage. Turner lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Some bone on bone action there as Witson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Witson fakes the leg kick and cracks Turner in the body. Witson lands a head kick!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turner throws a predictable looking body shot
and Witson counters with a head kick. That will keep Turner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Turner is rocked! Witson throws a half hearted mid kick. Turner fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Witson is out of range. Turner is looking to wear down Witson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Witson tries to land a body kick and Turner moves into the clinch. Turner tries to circle away but Witson has him pinned against the cage. Johny Witson seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Witson lands a hook that snaps the head of Turner backwards. A left hand lands to the body for Turner.
Turner misses with a hook from the clinch. Turner blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Turner is trying to maintain a safe position but Witson gets an underhook and turns Turner into the cage. Turner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Witson up against the cage. Witson jumps guard but Turner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ian Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
