Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Numa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Numa comes into the arena with You're Going Down blaring out of the sound system. Carter has chosen Hurricane as his entrance music. Rubin Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter has Numa up against the cage in a clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Numa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carter rushes Numa and presses him up against the cage.
Carter lands a nice uppercut.
Carter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carter closes the distance and clinches.

A head punch on the inside from Carter fails to land.
Carter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Numa backwards.
Numa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage.

Numa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Carter manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Carter lands a shoulder strike.
Numa takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Keiji Numa has been cut.
Carter breaks the clinch.
Carter darts in looking for a takedown but Numa gets double underhooks and turns Carter into the cage.
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rubin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter clinches.
Carter breaks from the clinch.
Numa tries to sprawl but Carter drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Numa is breathing heavily.

Numa wants to improve his position but Carter is controlling well.

Carter escapes and gets back to his feet.
Carter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Numa is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Carter wants to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Numa as Carter shoots in.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Numa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carter moves in looking to clinch but Numa pushes him off.
Numa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carter.
Keiji Numa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rubin Carter.

The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Numa swivels and escapes.
Carter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown but Numa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Carter misses with an attempted mid kick.
Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Numa, pushing him back against the cage.
Numa tries to pull guard but Carter forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Carter lands with a left to the head.
Carter misses with a knee strike.
Carter working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Carter scores with a shot to the side of Numa's head.
Numa is rocked!
Carter misses with a short punch on the inside.
Numa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Carter.
Oh Numa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Carter throws an overhand right that has Numa reeling! Carter follows up with more punches and Numa is out cold! This one is all over!
