Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Monza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Twelve Knickerbocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knickerbocker has chosen Big K.R.I.T. - Saturdays = Celebration as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knickerbocker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Monza napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Monza is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Knickerbocker's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Knickerbocker trying to control from half guard but Monza is working away.

Monza looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Monza is staying active underneath Knickerbocker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Monza looking for submissions off his back.
Monza is looking for a sweep. Knickerbocker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Monza on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Monza tries to get out of the position.
Knickerbocker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monza keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Monza tries to get to full guard but Knickerbocker has control of the leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Knickerbocker tries to roll over but Monza keeps him under control.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round but I would say that Hector Monza will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Knickerbocker clinches with his opponent.
Monza jumps guard but Knickerbocker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Monza keeps control of Knickerbocker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Knickerbocker is trying to break the clinch but Monza is controlling him.

Knickerbocker jumps into guard, dragging Monza to the mat.

Monza is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knickerbocker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knickerbocker has escaped and now he's on top!
Knickerbocker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Monza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knickerbocker defends well.
Knickerbocker wants to control from the top but Monza keeps moving.
Hector Monza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Monza tries to land a sweep but no joy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Knickerbocker wants to get up but he can't break Monza's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Knickerbocker wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Monza's closed guard. He's half up but Monza has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Monza pivots and extends the arm, Knickerbocker falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Monza! Well done that man!
