Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Musa Ahmadio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curt Wooten!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmadio throws a right hand that Wooten ducks under and follows up with a left that Wooten also avoids with ease.
Ahmadio lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ahmadio.
Ahmadio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ahmadio throws a leg kick
and Wooten counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooten drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Wooten as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ahmadio screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Wooten! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Curt Wooten!
After the fight, Curt Wooten was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
