Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Midas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver Queen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Midas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliver Queen! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Midas misses. Queen now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Midas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Queen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Midas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Queen was well out of range. Poor timing from Midas. Queen now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Midas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Queen appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Midas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Queen thinks about the counter body kick. Midas pushes Queen away with a front kick. Midas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big left from Midas misses. Midas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Queen unleashes a big counter combination but Midas bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Midas is looking to slow Queen down with leg kicks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A slapping leg kick lands for Midas.

Queen now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Midas throws a hook but Queen blocks it. Queen slips under a jab. Queen replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Midas blocks it well. Midas throws a lazy head kick and Queen counters with a nice body kick. Midas connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Midas tries a head kick but it misses.

Midas misses with a right hand and Queen counters with a body kick. Midas misses with the body kick and Queen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Midas is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Midas throws a body kick that misses and Queen makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Midas really felt that one! Midas throws a head kick that misses. Queen now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Queen might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Midas has got the better of the exchanges. Queen moves out of range of the body kick. Queen feints the counter takedown. Daniel Midas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
