PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Sugar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ruthless kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Sugar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Brawler!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sugar moves forwards but Brawler connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sugar dodges the punch combination from Brawler.
The crowd cheers as Brawler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sugar doesn't seem phased though.

Sugar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brawler is trying to get back to full guard.
Brawler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Well, if Sugar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Terry Brawler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sugar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brawler's guard.
Sugar is pushing down on Brawler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brawler is fighting to maintain full guard but Sugar has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sugar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brawler's waist but Brawler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sugar off to one side.
