Johnson has chosen Lil Wayne-Moment as his entrance music. Anthony Johnson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rigel Arsscott's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rigel Arsscott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Johnson !
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Arsscott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Arsscott napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Arsscott striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Johnson stands up and beckons Arsscott to his feet.
Arsscott looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Johnson gets the takedown into side control.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arsscott keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Arsscott's face as Johnson controls the position.

Arsscott bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson 's guard.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Johnson closes the distance and pushes Arsscott back into the cage.

Johnson has Arsscott pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Arsscott tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Arsscott's guard.
Arsscott is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arsscott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Arsscott tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

It looks like Rigel Arsscott has been cut.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Arsscott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Arsscott misses with a low kick as Johnson jumps back.
Arsscott fails with the takedown.

The fight stays on the outside here - Arsscott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson looks for a takedown but Arsscott sprawls well.
Johnson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Arsscott backs up against the cage.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arsscott swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Arsscott throws a leg kick but Johnson moved away.

Arsscott tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Johnson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looks like Arsscott is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson tries to hold on but Arsscott postures up.

Johnson wants to control but Arsscott is having none of it.
