Silva steps into range and cracks Steamboat with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Steamboat flops backwards and Silva dives into his guard looking to finish!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva finds Steamboat's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Steamboat flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Silva lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Steamboat will be OK.
