Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Blood there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hardaway looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blood is fending him off so far but Hardaway persists. Nope, Blood circles away and we're back to standing.
Blood throws a counter high kick but Hardaway was just alert enough to avoid it.
Hardaway thuds a left hand into Blood's body.
Blood dives in and grabs Hardaway 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hardaway pushes down on Blood's head and hops out.
Hardaway shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blood but Blood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hardaway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hardaway lands a glancing blow to the side of Blood's head.
Hardaway doesn't manage to clinch there - Blood circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hardaway or perhaps it was just good defense by Blood, which made it look bad.
John Blood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trace Hardaway .
Hardaway misses with a two punch combination.

Blood looks to land a combination. Hardaway sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blood shoots for a takedown but Hardaway saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hardaway bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hardaway throws a head kick but Blood moves out of range.

Hardaway shoots in looking for a takedown. Blood tries to sprawl out of it but Hardaway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blood gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Blood has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hardaway is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Blood jumps guard and drags Hardaway to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardaway tries to stand but Blood is controlling from the bottom.

Blood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blood looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Blood seems to be working for a kimura but Hardaway defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Blood in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hardaway wants to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hardaway manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hardaway scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hardaway works over Blood's head and body with a nice combination.
Hardaway tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blood defends well and Hardaway ends up having to push Blood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Blood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hardaway circles away quickly and effectively.

That's time! Blood's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Blood shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hardaway as he avoids it easily.
Hardaway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blood swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hardaway wants to break free but Blood has control.
Hardaway tries to stall but Blood uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Hardaway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hardaway throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Blood is persistently looking for the submission but Hardaway is defending it well.
Blood has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hardaway has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Hardaway connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Trace Hardaway seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hardaway drops Blood with a beautiful combination! Blood stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hardaway is looking for the KO!

Trace Hardaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
OH! Blood has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Hardaway smells blood and charges in for the finish! Hardaway unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Blood sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
