The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Markson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Markson stands up and beckons Lashley to join him on the feet.

enabling Markson to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Markson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Lashley will probably get the nod.

Markson has closed the distance and engaged Lashley in a clinch.
Markson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lashley smiles and moves away.
Markson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lashley but Lashley pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Markson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lashley won't be happy with that.

Markson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Markson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lashley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Markson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Markson shoots for a double leg takedown but Lashley sprawls well. He's pushed Markson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lashley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Markson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Joey Markson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Markson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
