Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus J Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and G Dawg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthews comes to the cage accompanied by "Here Comes The Pain" by Jim Johnston. Marcus J Matthews has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus J Matthews! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, G Dawg! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawg has taken the fight to the clinch.
Matthews lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Matthews trying to control from half guard but Dawg is working away. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Matthews lands a nice short elbow. Matthews scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dawg misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Matthews drops an elbow to the side of Dawg's head. Matthews sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dawg defending well though. Dawg is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Matthews scores with a couple of nice shots. Dawg keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dawg can do anything to dispel that myth. Matthews throws a strike but Dawg avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Matthews content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dawg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matthews. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Matthews stands and steps away. Dawg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Matthews shoots in but Dawg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matthews shoots in for a double leg but Dawg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Matthews gets caught flat footed, as Dawg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dawg looks gassed! Matthews throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Matthews looking for a guillotine here but Dawg defends easily.
Dawg with a flurry of punches that miss. Dawg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Matthews works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dawg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dawg with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matthews looking for a guillotine here but Dawg defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dawg trying to control the position from guard on top but Matthews is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matthews manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dawg manages to get himself to full guard.
Matthews pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dawg is keeping the position for now. Dawg wants to stand but Matthews is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dawg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Matthews is in close to Dawg's body, working some short punches and elbows. Matthews working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Matthews tries to free his leg and advance position but Dawg is retaining full guard. Matthews gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Matthews tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dawg counters with a two punch combo. Matthews feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Matthews throws a big right hand that misses. Matthews content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dawg trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Dawg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matthews throwing strikes but missing. Matthews wants to pass the guard but Dawg is keeping the position. Matthews keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dawg's head. Matthews preventing the sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Matthews wants to clinch. Matthews closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dawg to the mat! Dawg manages to get full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matthews throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus J Matthews dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Matthews shoots in but no luck this time. Dawg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Matthews can't do much from the bottom here. Matthews tries to bench press Dawg off him but Dawg keeps the position. Matthews regains half guard. Dawg looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Matthews works his way to full guard. Good work. Matthews working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dawg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dawg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dawg working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Matthews's head. Matthews has his feet on Dawg's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Matthews misses with a takedown so Dawg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dawg distracts Matthews with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Matthews is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Matthews is keen to just control but Dawg is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matthews thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dawg to regain full guard. Matthews connects with a couple of short punches. Dawg wants to sweep here but Matthews controlling him for the moment. Dawg wants to stand and escape but Matthews is having none of it. Matthews is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Matthews stops Dawg from standing up. Matthews distracts Dawg with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Matthews scoring with punches to the head and body.

Dawg connecting with a few gentle strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matthews stops Dawg from getting back to his feet.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Matthews is looking to take a break and control but Dawg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Matthews stops Dawg from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Matthews shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dawg kicks off Matthews and gets to his feet. That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus J Matthews will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Not yet Matthews, not yet. Matthews is working hard here to advance position. Matthews kicks Dawg off and gets to his feet. Matthews closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dawg circles away. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Matthews is looking to take a break and control but Dawg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Matthews seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dawg is trying to stand.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Matthews connects with a nice short shot to Dawg's temple. Dawg tries to get to full guard but Matthews has control of the leg. Dawg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matthews is working away from the top position though. Matthews is looking to take a break and control but Dawg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Matthews looks to clinch and Dawg counters with a single leg into guard. Matthews didn't expect that. Matthews throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dawg wants to get up but he can't break Matthews's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Matthews manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dawg manages to get himself to full guard.
Dawg is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Matthews has picked Dawg up - he's going for a ride! Matthews dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Dawg is trying to stand up here but Matthews is controlling him well. Matthews throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dawg wants to control but Matthews is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matthews is trying to control the action in half guard but Dawg is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dawg is trying to stand back up but Matthews is controlling him

Dawg shoots in and bounces Matthews off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Matthews lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dawg!
And that's the end of the fight! G Dawg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Matthews has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
