Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Hatayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and C S Kitiona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatayama comes to the ring accompanied by Samurai Soul. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Hatayama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, C S Kitiona! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Hatayama.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hatayama. Hatayama lands a nice looking body kick. Kitiona uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hatayama. Kitiona on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hatayama misses the jab. Hatayama missing with a left hand there. Kitiona was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kitiona walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kitiona slips under a jab. Kitiona shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hatayama wants to control but Kitiona is keeping busy.
Hatayama is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatayama wants to get back to full guard. Hatayama moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hatayama looking for a guillotine here but Kitiona defends easily.
Hatayama working for submissions but it's allowed Kitiona to get to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hatayama blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kitiona. Hatayama gets full guard. Hatayama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kitiona doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kitiona manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kitiona wants to control from the top but Hatayama keeps moving. Kitiona avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hatayama is breathing heavily. Kitiona not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hatayama has a closed guard, preventing Kitiona from standing up. Kitiona controlling from the top position. Hatayama had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kitiona is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hatayama Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kitiona's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitiona tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Hatayama moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kitiona has worked his arm free - good work by Kitiona!
Hatayama working away. Kitiona wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kitiona prevents Hatayama from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kitiona is looking to reverse the position. Hatayama trying to control the position but Kitiona is working away. Kitiona gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hatayama wants to control but Kitiona is keeping him busy. Kitiona is looking to improve his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kitiona fails in his attempt to clinch. Hatayama throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like C S Kitiona has been cut. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hatayama misses with a straight right. Hiroshi Hatayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kitiona looks for a takedown but Hatayama sprawls well. Kitiona shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hatayama pinned against the cage. Hatayama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshi Hatayama dominated that round. The cut man is working on C S Kitiona's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Hatayama misses with a looping left. Hatayama shoots in and bounces Kitiona off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Hatayama drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hatayama jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kitiona bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hatayama's guard. Hatayama looking for a sweep. Not yet Hatayama, not yet. Hatayama throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kitiona postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kitiona wants to stand but Hatayama is controlling his posture from full guard. Hatayama keeping moving, preventing Kitiona from controlling successfully. Hatayama working for a triangle but Kitiona defends it easily.
Kitiona controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kitiona drops back looking for a leg! Hatayama is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hatayama manages to kick Kitiona off! Kitiona jumps back into Hatayama's guard. Kitiona is sitting in close to Hatayama's body. Hatayama has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kitiona is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kitiona is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hatayama.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hiroshi Hatayama!
