Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kwame Moto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Braathen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moto comes to the ring accompanied by Tupac_Hit em' up. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kwame Moto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Braathen!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moto bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Braathen's head backwards.
Moto slips a jab and a cross from Braathen.
Moto fails with an attempt to clinch.

Moto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Braathen's guard.
Moto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Braathen is keeping the position for now.
Braathen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Braathen controls Moto momentarily but Moto frees himself.

Braathen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Braathen wants to get back to his feet but Moto is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Braathen keeping moving, preventing Moto from controlling successfully.

Moto is really struggling to control Braathen but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Moto slips nicely into half guard.
Moto is taking a breather. Braathen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Moto is tying to control. Braathen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Braathen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Moto moves nicely into side control.
Braathen struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Moto advances nicely into full mount.
Braathen is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Moto can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Braathen is looking to escape.
Braathen wants to control but Moto is having none of it.
Braathen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Moto throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Moto is trying to take his opponent's back.

Moto stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Moto throws a big shot that misses.

Moto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Braathen throws out the jab.
Moto tries a head kick but it misses.
Moto lands a nice looking kick to the body. Braathen takes a step back to recover.
Moto moves away from the strike by Braathen.
Moto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Braathen.
Braathen looks gassed!
Moto slips under a jab from Braathen.
Braathen slips a straight right by Moto.
Moto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Braathen but Braathen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Braathen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Moto throws a chopping leg kick but Braathen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Braathen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Moto lands a high kick!
Braathen throws a good cross that connects.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Braathen lands with a cross.
Braathen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moto.

Moto looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Moto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Moto stops Braathen from standing up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Braathen trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Moto controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kwame Moto dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Moto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Braathen but Braathen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice body punch from Moto.
Braathen lands a jab-cross combination.
Kwame Moto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Braathen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Braathen misses.

Moto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Braathen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Moto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Moto wants to control but Braathen is keeping him busy.

Braathen is trying to get back to his feet.
Braathen wants to control but Moto postures up.
Moto has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Moto prevents Braathen from getting the reversal.
Braathen regains half guard.
Braathen won't allow Moto to pass to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Braathen is trying to control but Moto passes into side control!
Moto is looking to take a break and control but Braathen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Braathen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Moto trying to control the position but Braathen is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Braathen throws a hook but Moto blocks it.
Braathen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Moto scores with a takedown into Braathen's guard.
Moto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Braathen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Moto trying to control but Braathen is working from the bottom.
Moto is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Braathen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Moto distracts Braathen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Braathen wants to control the position but Moto says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Moto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Braathen won't allow Moto to pass to mount.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Moto connects with a nice short shot to Braathen's temple.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kwame Moto dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Moto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Braathen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Moto sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Braathen tries to bum rush Moto with a series of wild strikes but Moto uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Moto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Braathen moves out of range of the body kick.
Braathen looks to throw the jab but Moto is out of range.
Braathen wants to slow Moto down by chopping away at his legs.
Braathen moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Moto works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Braathen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Braathen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Moto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Braathen's guard.

Braathen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moto won't allow Braathen to get back to his feet.

Moto lands a couple of elbows.
Moto wants to pass the guard but Braathen is keeping the position.
Braathen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Braathen wants to stand but Moto is controlling the position.
Moto passes into half guard.
Moto keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Moto wants to work for an arm triangle but Braathen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Moto is tying to control. Braathen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Braathen is looking for a triangle but Moto pushes his legs off easily.
Moto would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Moto wants to pass the guard but Braathen is keeping the position.
Daniel Braathen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Braathen has his feet on Moto's thighs here. He's pushed Moto off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Moto screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
