Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sum Yung Gai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sum Yung Gai! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gai throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range. Gai slips a jab from Diaz. A shot to the liver by Diaz. Beautiful body shot. Diaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gai throws out the jab. Diaz gets a double leg takedown into Gai's guard. Gai looking for a guillotine here but Diaz defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz tries to free his leg and advance position but Gai is retaining full guard. Gai is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diaz is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz stands and throws Gai's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gai told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Gai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Diaz off and has taken his back! This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz trying to control the position but Gai manages to sink in the hooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooh a big shot gets through from Gai. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Gai connects with a big shot to the side of Diaz's head.
I really don't envy Diaz right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Even with his hooks in, Gai manages to miss with strikes from the back. Gai is throwing strikes but Diaz counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Diaz regains half guard. Diaz keeping hold of Gai's head, controlling as best he can. Gai scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are battling for position here. Diaz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gai looking to improve position, pressing down on Diaz's thigh with his hand. Diaz seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Gai paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Gai's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Diaz picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

A very excited looking Matt Diaz made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
