Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Yakovlev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yakovlev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Beenay napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Yakovlev just content to control the position.
It looks like Yakovlev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yakovlev can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yakovlev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beenay defends well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
