PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Stormare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabian Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabian Peters will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sven Stormare !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stormare keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Stormare looks to score with a jab to the body but Peters is just out of range.
Peters throws out a counter right but Stormare avoids it with no problem.
Peters goes for a double leg but Stormare avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stormare continues to drive forward.

We've been informed that Peters has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stormare as he jumps to the side.
Peters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stormare is fending him off so far but Peters persists. Nope, Stormare circles away and we're back to standing.

Stormare is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peters can do to turn this around?

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Stormare is working to tighten his grip on Peters's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Peters has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stormare is really squeezing tight and eventually Peters passes out! Stormare breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
