Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azamat Gashimov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gashimov's choice of entrance music: Mark Ronson – Uptown Funk (feat. Bruno Mars). Kyle Monroe had a look across the cage there at his opponent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gashimov connects with a right hand. Monroe shakes it off.
Gashimov punishes Monroe's body with a nice straight punch.
Monroe avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gashimov throws a body shot but no joy.
Monroe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gashimov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gashimov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Monroe under the eye.
Monroe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gashimov.
Nice sprawl there from Monroe as Gashimov shoots in.
Monroe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monroe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Monroe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gashimov sizes up Monroe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Monroe tries to clinch there but Gashimov circles away.

Gashimov catches Monroe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gashimov misses with a looping left.
Monroe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gashimov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Monroe lands a big head kick that sends Gashimov tumbling to the mat! Monroe takes a step backwards and waves Gashimov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gashimov throws out a loose jab but Monroe uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Monroe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gashimov! Monroe lets Gashimov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Gashimov looks to throw the jab but Monroe is out of range.
Monroe throws a body punch but Gashimov moves out of range.
Gashimov takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gashimov dives in and grabs Monroe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monroe pushes down on Gashimov's head and hops out.
Monroe is looking to wear down Gashimov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Monroe cracks Gashimov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Monroe has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gashimov to stand back up!
Gashimov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monroe thuds a left hand into Gashimov's body.
Monroe plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Gashimov to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Gashimov just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

After winning the bout, Kyle Monroe thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
