Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sally Godsmack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sally Godsmack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffin! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Godsmack gets caught flat footed, as Griffin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Godsmack had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Griffin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Godsmack Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Griffin's back instead. Griffin is keeping busy.
Godsmack is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Griffin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. You can see the frustration on Griffin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Godsmack has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Griffin. Godsmack punches the canvas rather than the man. Griffin looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Griffin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Godsmack is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Griffin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Griffin! Griffin wants to get up but he can't break Godsmack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Griffin is in close to Godsmack's body, working some short punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Godsmack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griffin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Griffin wants to control from the top but Godsmack keeps moving. Griffin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Godsmack's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin drops back looking for a leg! Godsmack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Godsmack manages to kick Griffin off! Griffin jumps back into Godsmack's guard. Griffin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Godsmack to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Griffin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Godsmack pulls down on the head and he's put Griffin to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sally Godsmack!
