Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Rubble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubble comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rage Against The Machine - No Shelter kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Barney Rubble is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubble rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sims counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sims gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rubble counters with a left to the body.
Rubble pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sims went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Rubble connects with a jab.
Rubble fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Barney Rubble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sims lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Sims has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sims there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rubble has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Sims lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that William Sims will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

I was talking to Sims's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
