Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Knuckle Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by Gimme Shelter. Wonka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Willy Wonka was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Wonka lands.
Wonka cracks Stone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wonka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stone defends it nicely.
Stone lands with a hook. Wonka tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Willy Wonka has been cut.
Wonka moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wonka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stone sprawls well. Stone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wonka gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice uppercut lands for Wonka. That snapped Stone's head back.
Wonka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Stone on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Stone lets loose with a powerful body kick. Wonka will feel that in the morning.
Wonka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard.

Wonka closes the distance and pushes Stone back into the cage.

Wonka is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Stone is keeping busy.

Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wonka is working away from the top position though.
We've been hearing good reports from Stone's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Wonka is trying to work for a kimura but Stone is defending well.
Stone is trying to maintain the position but Wonka is very close to passing his half guard.

Wonka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wonka is landing with some decent strikes but Stone is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That was a close round but I would say that Knuckle Stone will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Stone takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Wonka thuds his right hand into Stone's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Wonka looks for a takedown but Stone sprawls well.
Stone lands a big head kick that sends Wonka tumbling to the mat! Stone takes a step backwards and waves Wonka back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight stays on the outside here - Wonka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wonka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stone's waist but Stone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wonka off to one side.

Stone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Stone throws an overhand right that lands on Wonka's shoulder, as Wonka tries to avoid the shot.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stone is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stone throws a hook to the side of Wonka's head but Wonka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wonka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
