Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kid's choice of entrance music: Kung Fu Fighting. Chris Gunn could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Karate Kid's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karate Kid! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid tries to work over Gunn's front leg with a kick but Gunn checks it. Kid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gunn. Kid was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Gunn has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gunn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Kid looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A short right hand to the side of the head by Gunn. Gunn blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Gunn fails to land. Kid lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kid is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gunn misses with a short punch on the inside. Kid lands a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kid pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kid has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Gunn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Gunn clobbers Kid with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kid thumps Gunn with a low kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kid throws a body shot but no joy. Gunn lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kid's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gunn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kid scrambles back to his feet. Kid lands with a kick to the ribs.
Karate Kid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gunn just misses with a punch to the body.
Kid misses with a body shot.
Kid lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gunn takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gunn is rocked! Gunn has been working on his boxing with his coaches at gym closing in the buildup to the fight. Gunn looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kid lands a right hand from hell, dropping Gunn. Kid pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karate Kid! Karate Kid seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
