Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason James will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Rogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason James! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! James throws a leg kick which misses Rogan's front leg but catches the back leg as Rogan tries to avoid it. Rogan lets loose with a powerful body kick. James will feel that in the morning. Rogan wants to slow James down by chopping away at his legs. Rogan scoring well with a low kick there.
Rogan throws a front kick that sends James stumbling back into the cage. Rogan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and James counters with a three punch combo that has Rogan backing up. Rogan nods at James to acknowledge the strikes. James on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rogan really is a fat lump. James blocks a head kick by Rogan.
Rogan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. James on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rogan. Rogan obviously looking to wear him down.

Rogan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. James checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A solid leg kick lands there for Rogan.

James tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rogan swings away with a leg kick that misses. Rogan throws a half hearted mid kick. Rogan misses with a low kick.

James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rogan, pushing him back against the cage. Rogan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rogan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. James stopping the sweep attempt from Rogan. Rogan has his foot on James's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. James works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James preventing the sweep. Rogan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Rogan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogan wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. James moves out of range of the body kick from Rogan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rogan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rogan lands with a kick to the ribs.
James avoids a low kick by using good footwork. James swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. James moves out of range as Rogan throws a body kick.

Rogan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A bone on bone clash there as James blocks the leg kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Rogan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. James lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. James takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Rogan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

James crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rogan - the referee stops the clock and James gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rogan. James manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogan.

It connects and James has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rogan tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Rogan misses with a body kick. Joe Rogan is winning the standup battle so far. Rogan throws the kick towards the body but James avoids it.

Jason James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rogan throws a front kick aimed at James's knee but James avoids it well. Rogan is looking to chop away at James's legs. James has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rogan. Rogan tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rogan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before James can pounce on him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rogan has James pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. James manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. James manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jason James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Rogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rogan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Rogan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rogan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
