Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sahib Kalili!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Kobayashi!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayashi blocks a head kick by Kalili.
Kobayashi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kalili is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kobayashi checks a low kick from Kalili.
Kalili really is a fat lump.
Some bone on bone action there as Kobayashi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kalili swinging wildly here.
Kobayashi shoots in for a takedown but Kalili shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kalili tries to clinch up but Kobayashi circles away and keeps his distance.
Kalili displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi shoots in and drives through. Kalili sprawls well.
Sahib Kalili has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Kobayashi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kobayashi is defended easily by Kalili.

Kalili fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kobayashi, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kalili has Kobayashi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kalili pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kobayashi tumbling to the mat - Kalili dives into Kobayashi's guard.

Kobayashi pushes Kalili off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Kalili throws a push kick but Kobayashi slaps the foot to one side.
Kalili looks to land a right hand but Kobayashi moved out of range.
Kalili falls off balance throwing a combination

and Kobayashi counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kobayashi is pushing down on Kalili's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kalili is fighting to maintain full guard but Kobayashi has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kobayashi winds up and cracks Kalili with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kalili might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kobayashi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kalili is bucking up trying to escape but Kobayashi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Kalili is rocked!


It looks like Sahib Kalili has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kobayashi postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Kalili bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Kobayashi and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Kobayashi!
