Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Orion Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orion Cook is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orion Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 23 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sinatra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sinatra thinks about the counter body kick.
Cook ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sinatra moves away.
And Sinatra tries to counter it with a takedown but Cook pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cook lands a nice shot that snaps Sinatra's head back.
Cook misses with a combination

and Sinatra counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sinatra.
Sinatra content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cook is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Heart Cave that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sinatra working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sinatra looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cook with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cook tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sinatra defends well and Cook ends up having to push Sinatra into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cook bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sinatra's guard.

Cook throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sinatra works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cook is looking to work some ground and pound but Sinatra has wrist control.

Sinatra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cook doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cook manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Frank Sinatra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sinatra lands a strong strike to the head of Cook. That's dazed him! Sinatra looking to finish here. Cook is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Sinatra lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
