Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vesa Sykk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kk Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sykk comes to the cage accompanied by Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name . Brewer has chosen scooby doo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykk swings for the body but Brewer moves out of range.

Brewer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brewer takes a little break here. Sykk wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brewer wants to control but Sykk is keeping him busy.

Sykk avoids the attempt from Brewer to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sykk postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brewer looks a forlorn figure.
Sykk fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Brewer is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Sykk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brewer tries to hold on but Sykk postures up.
Sykk connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sykk sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Sykk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brewer is in a horrible position here. Sykk smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sykk loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Brewer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sykk land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sykk stands and salutes the crowd.
