Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Emerlong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Emerlong! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Emerlong. Emerlong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Willis. Emerlong throws an overhand right that lands on Willis's shoulder, as Willis tries to avoid the shot. Emerlong misses with a right hand and Willis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Willis wants to control from the top but Emerlong keeps moving. Willis looking to sit in guard and control but Emerlong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Emerlong is stalling in the full guard. Willis pushes Emerlong off and scrambles back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Emerlong. Willis does a little dance to reset his feet. We've been hearing reports that Willis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Emerlong loads up on a big right hand but Willis slips the punch. Willis slips under a jab. Willis attempts a counter takedown but Emerlong avoids it well and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emerlong takes a swing at Willis's ribcage but misses. Emerlong misses with a right hand and Willis counters with a shoot takedown. Emerlong fights it but they end up in guard. Willis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Emerlong is keeping the position for now. Willis with a flurry of punches that miss. Willis chips away with some ground and pound. Willis stopping the sweep attempt from Emerlong. Willis being controlled here momentarily. Willis looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Willis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Emerlong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Willis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Willis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emerlong controls Willis momentarily but Willis frees himself. Emerlong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Willis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Willis wants to control from the top but Emerlong keeps moving. Emerlong controls Willis momentarily but Willis frees himself. Willis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Willis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Emerlong lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Willis is looking to stand up but Emerlong isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis has his feet on Emerlong's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Willis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Horrible takedown attempt by Willis or perhaps it was just good defense by Emerlong, which made it look bad. Sloppy strikes from Emerlong. Those never looked like landing. Willis tries to counter with a takedown but Emerlong is quick to defend against it. Jab, jab by Emerlong - just one landing. Nice shot lands for Emerlong. Emerlong throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Emerlong pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Emerlong jabs Willis to the body, keeping him at a distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emerlong throws a body punch but Willis moves out of range. Willis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Emerlong's half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis wants to control but Emerlong is keeping him busy. Willis slips a nice elbow through Emerlong's hands, connecting with Emerlong's forehead. Willis prevents Emerlong from improving his position. Emerlong trying to control from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Willis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Willis missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Emerlong manages to get to full guard.
Willis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Willis landing some decent shots from guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Emerlong is trying to control the position but Willis postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Willis will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Emerlong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Willis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emerlong manages to avoid it. Emerlong throws a poor cross that misses
and Willis counters with a single leg into guard. Emerlong didn't expect that. Emerlong manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Emerlong lands a hook to the side of the head. Emerlong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Willis walks into a left hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emerlong dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Willis moves away from the strike by Emerlong. Emerlong jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Emerlong misses with a few strikes there.
Emerlong swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Willis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Willis takes a jab right on the kisser.
Emerlong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Willis counters with a right hand to the body. Emerlong throws a left and a right that both miss
and Willis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Emerlong!
That's one minute gone in the round. Willis looks up at the clock and then as Emerlong takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Willis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Willis in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Emerlong is breathing heavily. Willis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Emerlong down.
Willis prevents Emerlong from escaping the position. Willis taking a breather here. Willis in side control, throwing shots but Emerlong defends. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Willis controlling the position from side mount. Willis looks up at the clock and then as Emerlong takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Willis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Emerlong takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Emerlong is working to avoid the ground and pound but Willis connects with a decent elbow. Emerlong is looking to reverse the position. Willis controls the position from side control. Patrick Willis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Emerlong defending against the ground and pound. Willis in side control, just content to control the action for now. Emerlong tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emerlong takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Emerlong is not content to let Willis control the position. Willis grinds an elbow into Emerlong's temple. Willis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emerlong keeps working. Willis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Emerlong tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Emerlong really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Willis landing punches. Willis wants to control the pace but Emerlong is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Emerlong is rocked! Willis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Emerlong is still in real trouble! Can Willis finish him? Willis softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Emerlong is out cold! Willis jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Willis!
