The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Čern� is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gunn throws a series of punches but Čern� avoids them all with ease.
Gunn fails to land with a series of punches.
Čern� is looking for a counter combo.
A slow jab from Gunn misses its intended target.
Čern� bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gunn looks to land a combination. Čern� sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Gunn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Čern� sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gunn.

Gunn throws a sloppy head kick and Čern� moves out of range easily.

Gunn uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Čern� tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gunn swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gunn tries to stand and escape but Čern� is controlling the position.
Gunn is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Čern� manages to get to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Čern� is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Čern� trying to mount his opponent but Gunn defends it.
Čern� is working for a kimura but Gunn is defending it quite comfortably.
Gunn tries to kick Čern� off but Čern� keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Čern� with the ground and pound but Gunn uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Čern� wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving.
Gunn wants to get back to his feet but Čern� is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Nelson Gunn dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Čern� doesn't manage to clinch there - Gunn circles away.
Gunn throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Alojz Čern� has been cut.
Gunn slaps away a takedown attempt from Čern�, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Čern� drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Some bone on bone action there as Čern� checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nelson Gunn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A big left from Gunn misses.
Čern� fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gunn just manages to avoid it.
Gunn connects with an inside leg kick.

and Čern� counters with a left and a right that stings Gunn.
Sloppy strikes from Gunn. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Čern� was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Čern� ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gunn moves away.
Čern� tries to clinch but Gunn moves out of range.
Gunn throws a quick inside leg kick.
Čern� gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gunn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Čern� has him pressed against the cage.
Čern� misses with a hook to the ribs.
Čern� prevents Gunn from breaking the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gunn.
Čern� misses with a hook from the clinch.
Čern� can't find room to land a body shot as Gunn controls the action.
Gunn has had enough of the clinch but Čern� keeps him there for the moment.
Gunn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gunn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Čern�'s head backwards.
Čern� blocks a jab.
Čern� was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Čern� drops his hands momentarily and Gunn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gunn throws a hook to the side of Čern�'s head but Čern� sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Čern� feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Gunn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Čern�s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gunn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gunn throws a push kick but Čern� slaps the foot to one side.
An attempted straight right counter from Čern� misses the target.
Čern� checks a leg kick.
Gunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Čern� scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gunn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Čern� has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Čern� connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gunn some visible discomfort.

Gunn is still in real trouble! Can Čern� finish him?
Čern� works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Čern� cracks Gunn with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Čern� immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Gunn is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Čern�!

A relieved looking Alojz Čern� thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
