Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Meathead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neal Nuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Meathead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neal Nuss!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Meathead looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Meathead tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nuss chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Meathead can pounce on him.
Meathead shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Nuss stuffs the takedown.
Nuss shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nuss was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nuss postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Meathead looks a forlorn figure.
Nuss lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Nuss content just to control the position here.
Meathead is looking to get to half guard.
Meathead knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nuss on the ground.
Nuss looking for a guillotine from mount but Meathead is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meathead is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nuss lands a heavy elbow.
Nuss jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Meathead manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Nuss decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Meathead with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nuss counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Meathead pushes Nuss off looking to stand but Nuss dives back in and keeps control.
Meathead tries to roll over but Nuss keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nuss stands up out of the half guard.
Meathead darts in trying to clinch
and Nuss holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nuss lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Nuss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nuss closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nuss lands in his opponent's guard.
Nuss looks gassed!
Meathead is looking to stand up but Nuss isn't so interested in that idea.
Nuss keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Meathead's head.
Nuss landing some decent shots from guard.
Nuss content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nuss distracts Meathead with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nuss trying to control the position from guard on top but Meathead is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nuss has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nuss stands up from Meathead's guard - Nuss perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nuss moves into range and clinches up with Meathead.
Nuss jumps into guard, dragging Meathead to the mat.
Nuss keeping moving, preventing Meathead from controlling successfully.
Meathead looking to sit in guard and control but Nuss gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Meathead is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nuss is controlling him.
Nuss slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Meathead looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nuss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Nuss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meathead moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Neal Nuss dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Nuss decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Meathead's guard.
Meathead throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Meathead is trying to keep Nuss in close.
Meathead is working an open guard so Nuss takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Meathead gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nuss decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Meathead's guard.
Nuss gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nuss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that Nuss has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nuss is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Nuss extends the arm and Meathead is forced to tap!
