Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Jr Emilianko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Jr Emilianko!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Henderson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Emilianko for as long as he can get away with.
Emilianko is looking to stand up but Henderson isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Henderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Henderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Henderson wants to control the pace but Emilianko is squirming around nicely.

Henderson avoids the attempt from Emilianko to control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henderson can't escape the position.
Henderson swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Henderson is wriggling around trying to escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Emilianko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Henderson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Emilianko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Henderson is not content to let Emilianko control the position.
Henderson tries to improve position but can't.

Dan Henderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Henderson shoots in and bounces Emilianko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Fedor Jr Emilianko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Emilianko pushes a forearm under Henderson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Henderson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
