Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gus Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Orgun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gus Pappas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Orgun moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pappas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Orgun momentarily.
Pappas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orgun moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Orgun misses with an attempted mid kick.
Orgun lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Orgun lands a nice looking body kick.
Pappas avoids a kick to the body.
Orgun looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Pappas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Orgun felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Gus Pappas will probably get the nod.

Well Orgun has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
