Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vadim Kalashnikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Ladin!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov missing with a left hand there. Ladin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ladin swings for the body but Kalashnikov moves out of range.
Ladin checks a leg kick.
Ladin throws a head kick that misses.
Kalashnikov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ladin throws a big counter head kick but Kalashnikov avoids it with no problem.
Kalashnikov throws a leg kick which misses Ladin's front leg but catches the back leg as Ladin tries to avoid it.
Ladin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kalashnikov lands a head kick. Ladin smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Ben Ladin has been cut.
Kalashnikov cracks Ladin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ladin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kalashnikov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ladin has time to react.
Kalashnikov tries a low kick but Ladin avoids it.
Kalashnikov throws a head kick but Ladin moves out of range.
Ladin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kalashnikov connects with a jab.


Ladin is rocked!
A head kick by Kalashnikov - that's a beauty! Ladin is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Kalashnikov can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vadim Kalashnikov!
An out of breath Vadim Kalashnikov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
