Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malik Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Laz Briscoe! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briscoe fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Turner cracks Briscoe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Laz Briscoe has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Turner. No joy for Briscoe on that attempt. Turner tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Briscoe manages to circle out of the way. Briscoe is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Turner moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malik Turner!
