Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kong Qiu!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novicar misses with a head kick.
Qiu tries a quick counter leg kick but Novicar is wise to it.
Novicar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Qiu manages to avoid it.
Novicar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Qiu shoots in and drives through. Novicar sprawls well.
Novicar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Qiu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Novicar was covering up waiting for the punch and Qiu finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Qiu shoots in for a takedown but Novicar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

An attempted straight right counter from Novicar misses the target.
Novicar tries to land a front kick but Qiu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Qiu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Novicar is fending him off so far but Qiu persists. Nope, Novicar circles away and we're back to standing.

Qiu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Novicar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Qiu somewhat.

Qiu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Novicar connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Qiu scrambles back to his feet.
Novicar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Qiu doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Novicar lands with a kick to the temple. Qiu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Qiu goes for a double leg but Novicar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Novicar continues to drive forward.
Novicar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Novicar lands a nice shot to the body.
Qiu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
