Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mookie Blaylock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hess comes to the cage accompanied by Demiurge. Blaylock has chosen Alive as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mookie Blaylock! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaylock on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hess scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hess throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Blaylock tries to move into range but Hess moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Hess. Blaylock does a little dance to reset his feet. Blaylock connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hess. Hess circles away out of range and recomposes himself. We've been informed that Blaylock has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Hess connects with a leg kick. Blaylock looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Blaylock stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hess. Blaylock stalks Hess and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hess's face. Hess staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Jon Hess has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blaylock misses with a head kick.
Nice shot lands for Blaylock. We've been told by Hess's head coaches at House of 1000 Corpses that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hess ducks under a wild hook from Blaylock. Blaylock lands with a good body shot. Nice straight punches there by Hess. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hess. Blaylock takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hess steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blaylock. Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hess clinches. Blaylock misses with an elbow over the top. Hess misses with a body punch.
Hess lands a left hand that snaps the head of Blaylock backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hess breaks from the clinch.
Blaylock tries to move into range but Hess moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Mookie Blaylock has been cut. Hess lands with a nice body punch. Blaylock takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hess tries to close the distance and clinch but Blaylock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hess lands a big uppercut and Blaylock crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Blaylock looks OK. Hess waves Blaylock back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blaylock lands a head shot. Blaylock dodges the punch combination from Hess.
Hess throws a sloppy head kick and Blaylock moves out of range easily. Blaylock throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hess's head. Blaylock missing with a left hand there. Hess was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hess feinted there with a counter leg kick. Nice jab there from Hess. Hess misses with a body kick. Blaylock misses with a double jab.
Hess walks into a stiff left hand from Blaylock.
Jon Hess's cut is getting worse. Hess checks a leg kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hess throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blaylock stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hess lands a big right hand that sends Blaylock crashing to the mat! Hess stays standing though and waves Blaylock back to his feet!
Blaylock is rocked! Hess stuns Blaylock with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Blaylock is still on wobbly legs! Can Hess finish him? Blaylock looks winded! Hess drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Blaylock's head, knocking him out cold! Hess is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Hess! Jon Hess seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
