The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farrar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Farrar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Farrar content just to control the position here. landfair really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farrar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. landfair wants to control but Farrar is having none of it. Farrar looking to finish landfair with some ground and pound. This is bad for landfair! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Farrar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Farrar working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farrar content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farrar connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Farrar landing strikes, looking to finish! landfair defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Farrar. Farrar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Farrar punching from mount but landfair doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Farrar wants to finish this one by submission but landfair is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Farrar. Farrar is working for a guillotine from mount but landfair frees his head quite easily.
landfair is looking to get to half guard. Farrar trying to control but landfair is having none of it. Farrar is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, landfair has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Farrar takes a swing at landfair's ribcage but misses. Farrar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. landfair has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Farrar is working away from the top position though.

Farrar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming landfair to the mat! landfair manages to get full guard. Farrar passes into half guard. Farrar wants to pass the guard but landfair is defending well. Farrar working over landfair with some ground and pound. landfair looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Farrar is thwarting landfair's attempts to control the position. Farrar performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Farrar wants to take a breather but landfair is having none of it.

Farrar decides to stand up. landfair gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Farrar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. landfair keeping full guard, as Farrar tries to pass. landfair wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Farrar is now in half guard. landfair is breathing heavily. landfair trying to hold on to Farrar's head to control him but Farrar postures up.

Not this time though. landfair keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Farrar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Farrar wants to free his trapped foot but landfair is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Farrar gets to his feet - back to striking we go! landfair tries for a takedown but Farrar circles away easily and Farrar counters with a nice double leg into half guard. landfair wants to get back to full guard. Farrar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farrar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Farrar connects with a nice short shot to landfair's temple. Farrar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Farrar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. landfair defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Farrar dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Farrar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Farrar working over landfair with some ground and pound. landfair looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. landfair is trying to stand back up but Farrar is controlling him
Farrar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for landfair to stand up. landfair scores a takedown into full mount! Farrar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Farrar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Farrar managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farrar is looking for a triangle but landfair pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. landfair being controlled here momentarily. Farrar looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but landfair puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Farrar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Farrar. Farrar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Farrar has his feet on landfair's thighs here. He's pushed landfair off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! landfair screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
