Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giorgios Finlitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Allen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Giorgios Finlitis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tyler Allen! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finlitis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Allen to the mat! Allen manages to get full guard. Finlitis postures up.
Finlitis stopping the sweep attempt from Allen. Finlitis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Finlitis is stalling in the full guard. Allen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Finlitis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Finlitis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Finlitis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Allen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Finlitis working Allen over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finlitis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Allen is not content to let Finlitis control the position. Allen pushes Finlitis off looking to stand but Finlitis dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Finlitis distracts Allen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Finlitis sitting in guard here, content to control. Allen is looking for a triangle but Finlitis pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Finlitis lands an elbow. Finlitis cracks Allen with a big right hand but Allen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Finlitis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Finlitis advances to mount. Finlitis trying to control but Allen is having none of it. Finlitis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Finlitis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Finlitis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Allen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Finlitis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Allen is looking to escape. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Finlitis controlling his opponent. Finlitis scoring with strikes but Allen is staying in there. Finlitis content just to control the position here. Allen manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Allen keeps the fight on the outside. Allen fails in his attempt to clinch. Finlitis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Allen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Finlitis wants to control but Allen is keeping him busy. Finlitis advances nicely into full mount. Finlitis lands with some strikes. Allen is squirming around, avoiding Finlitis's attempts to control the action. Finlitis is in the full mount, landing strikes. Finlitis landing shots from mount. Giorgios Finlitis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Finlitis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Finlitis won't let Allen get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. BOOM! Finlitis connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Finlitis landing strikes, looking to finish! Finlitis scoring with strikes but Allen is staying in there. Finlitis working away from the top, dropping strikes. Allen wants to control but Finlitis is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You get the feeling that Allen really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Finlitis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Allen flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Allen really wants to buck Finlitis off and get back to his feet. Finlitis looking to control and managing it successfully. Finlitis working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Finlitis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Allen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Finlitis working the ground and pound from side control. Allen tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Finlitis is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Allen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Allen is not content to let Finlitis control the position. Allen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Finlitis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Allen's guard. Allen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Finlitis is controlling him. Finlitis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Allen working a defensive guard here.
Finlitis stops Allen from standing up. Finlitis is in close to Allen's body, working some short punches and elbows. Finlitis landing with the ground and pound. Finlitis looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Allen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Finlitis as he jumps to the side. Finlitis avoids the head kick by Allen.
Finlitis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Finlitis drives through with a takedown into guard. Allen looking to control.

Finlitis lands a jab-cross combination. Tyler Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Allen tries to clinch there but Finlitis circles away.
Finlitis shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Finlitis working some strikes from top position. Allen keeping moving, preventing Finlitis from controlling successfully. Tyler Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Giorgios Finlitis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Finlitis content to stall in guard here.
