Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nobu Ellar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boyd Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowe has chosen millon dollar driver as his entrance music. Boyd Lowe looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nobu Ellar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boyd Lowe! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lowe fails with the takedown. Lowe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Lowe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lowe prevents Ellar from improving his position. Ellar wants to control but Lowe is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellar regains full guard. Nicely done. Ellar looking for a sweep. Not yet Ellar, not yet. Lowe prevents Ellar from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellar pushes Lowe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Ellar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lowe tries to avoid it but Ellar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lowe to the ground. Lowe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ellar tries for a takedown but Lowe circles away easily and Lowe counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lowe. Ellar is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nobu Ellar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ellar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ellar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lowe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Ellar is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Ellar controlling well, preventing Lowe from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellar trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Even with his hooks in, Ellar manages to miss with strikes from the back. Ellar misses with a punch to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellar throwing sloppy strikes. What can Lowe do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lowe preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Ellar. Ellar has the hooks in. Lowe is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Lowe is keeping busy.
Lowe rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lowe keeps working. Ellar prevents Lowe from improving his position. Lowe has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Lowe trying to hold on to Ellar's head to control him but Ellar postures up.
Ellar stalling away here and it's allowed Lowe to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lowe manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nobu Ellar will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Ellar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lowe swivels and escapes. Ellar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lowe pinned against the cage. Lowe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice sprawl there from Lowe as Ellar shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nobu Ellar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ellar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lowe.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ellar. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellar throws a leg kick but Lowe moved away. Nobu Ellar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lowe is breathing heavily. Ellar has a takedown stuffed. Lowe tries to counter with a clinch but Ellar shakes him off and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lowe drives through with a takedown into guard. Ellar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lowe is controlling him. Ellar looking for a guillotine here but Lowe defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ellar keeping moving, preventing Lowe from controlling successfully. Ellar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lowe on the ground. Lowe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lowe stops Ellar from standing up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ellar punishes Lowe's body with a nice straight punch. Ellar throws a sloppy head kick and Lowe moves out of range easily. Lowe throws a right and a left that Ellar avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowe gets tackled into the cage by Ellar. Ellar maintains the clinch. Ellar tightens his grip and picks Lowe up, before dumping him to the ground. Lowe manages to land in guard. Ellar wants to pass the guard but Lowe is keeping the position. Lowe trying to keep a closed guard but Ellar is proving a slippery customer.
Nobu Ellar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ellar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ellar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellar wants to pass the guard but Lowe is keeping the position. Ellar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lowe keeping moving, preventing Ellar from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ellar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ellar lands a jab-cross combination. Ellar has closed the distance and engaged Lowe in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boyd Lowe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nobu Ellar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ellar tries to break the clinch but Lowe is controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Nobu Ellar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ellar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
