And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parsons shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ball's guard.
Parsons's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parsons is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Parsons pushes down on Ball's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Parsons is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ball has managed to free his arm - good work.
Parsons trying to control the pace.
Ball is trying to get back to full guard.

Parsons seems to be working for a kimura but Ball defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Parsons is looking to take a break and control but Ball is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Parsons content to control rather than advance.

Parsons is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ball tries to roll over but Parsons keeps him under control.
Ball knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parsons on the ground.

Ball is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parsons pulls his head out easily.
Ball really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Parsons seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ball does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ball is in trouble now - Parsons has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parsons moves to take his opponent's back.

Ball won't enjoy being in this position. Parsons looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Ball is tapping - it's over boys! Parsons picks up the submission victory!
