Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Twisted Fate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Varner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Twisted Fate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamie Varner! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Varner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Varner is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fate is looking to improve his position.
Fate's coaches at EXEL VORTEX have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Varner stops Fate from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Varner prevents Fate from improving his position. Varner content to control rather than advance. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fate tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Varner controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Varner postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fate trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Varner controls from within his opponent's guard. Fate throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Varner showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fate looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Varner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fate sprawls well initially but Varner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Varner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Fate missing with punches from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fate gets full guard. Varner controlling from the top position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fate wants to stand up but Varner is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Varner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fate shoots and misses and Varner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fate won't be happy with that. Fate prevents Varner from moving into mount. Fate is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Varner tries to advance to mount but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fate is trying to control Varner's posture but Varner avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fate tries to buck Varner off but Varner is having none of it. Fate stops Varner from passing to mount. Fate can't do much from the bottom here. Fate manages to work his way to half guard, despite Varner's best efforts. Varner wants to pass the guard but Fate is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fate tries to clinch up but Varner circles away and keeps his distance. Horrible takedown attempt by Fate or perhaps it was just good defense by Varner, which made it look bad. Fate tries to clinch there but Varner circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Fate. No joy for Varner on that attempt. Varner avoids the head kick by Fate.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Varner. Fate tries to bench press Varner off him but Varner keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Varner remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Fate manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Varner controlling the action here. Fate trying to hold on to Varner's head to control him but Varner postures up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Varner controlling the action here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Varner misses with a takedown attempt - Fate sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice sprawl there from Fate as Varner shoots in. Twisted Fate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Varner. Varner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fate is trying to defend but Varner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fate keeping control of the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fate is trying to maintain the position but Varner is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Varner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Varner shoots in and drives through. Fate sprawls well. Varner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Varner wants it to stay on the feet. Fate stuffs the takedown attempt from Varner. Varner gets slowly back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Varner. Fate went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Twisted Fate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Varner. Varner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fate to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fate forces his way into half guard. Fate sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Varner makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Fate rushes Varner and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Fate dodges an elbow strike from Varner.
Varner is working for takedown but Fate is calmly controlling the position for now. Varner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fate tries to close the distance and clinch up but Varner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Varner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fate to the ground. Varner is now in Fate's guard. Varner showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fate wants to stand but Varner is controlling the position. Fate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fate wants to get back to his feet but Varner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Varner content to stall in guard here.

and Varner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fate won't be happy with that. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A lull in the action here as Varner stalls from top position. Fate is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Varner is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Fate prevents Varner from improving position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Jamie Varner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Varner winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
