Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Fairweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Fairweather has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Buck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Fairweather!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairweather tries for a takedown but Buck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fairweather uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Buck.
No luck for Fairweather with that takedown attempt.
That kick from Buck tenderised Fairweather's leg. Fairweather is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fairweather shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buck but Buck pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marco Buck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Fairweather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fairweather throws a head kick but Buck moves out of range.
Fairweather misses with a takedown attempt - Buck sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Buck wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Fairweather fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fairweather throws a shot to the body.
Fairweather shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buck as he jumps to the side.

Fairweather shoots in looking for a takedown. Buck tries to sprawl out of it but Fairweather keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Buck tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fairweather manages to circle out of the way.

Buck wanted to stand there but Fairweather had control of the position.
Buck could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Buck tries to break the clinch but Fairweather is controlling the position.
Buck is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Fairweather wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Buck has had enough of the clinch but Fairweather keeps him there for the moment.

Buck got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fairweather has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Buck has managed to get both his arms back between Fairweather's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Marco Buck will probably get the nod.
That's time! Buck's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Buck postures up in Fairweather's guard and throws a big left but Fairweather blocks it.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Buck.
Buck scores with a hook to the body. Fairweather takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fairweather throws a head kick that Buck semi-blocks.
Fairweather is breathing heavily.
Fairweather shoots in for a takedown but Buck shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Buck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fairweather's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fairweather won't allow Buck to sweep him here.
Buck wants to improve his position but instead Fairweather has moved into half guard.

Fairweather drives through and clinches with Buck against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Buck manages to break the clinch.
Buck ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Buck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fairweather looks for a takedown but Buck sprawls well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marco Buck will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Buck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fairweather's waist but Fairweather gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buck off to one side.
Fairweather looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buck is fending him off so far but Fairweather persists. Nope, Buck circles away and we're back to standing.

Fairweather takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fairweather tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buck smiles and moves away.
Fairweather shoots for a double leg takedown but Buck sprawls well. He's pushed Fairweather's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Buck tries to counter with a takedown but Fairweather is quick to defend against it.
Buck fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fairweather.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fairweather enables Buck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fairweather manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Buck decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Buck shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Buck was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Buck works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fairweather takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Buck has taken the fight to the clinch.
Buck lands an elbow just above Fairweather 's eye.
Buck content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Buck breaks from the clinch.
Buck plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Buck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Buck looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Buck thows a huge punch but Fairweather dodges it nicely.
Buck thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fairweather's head.
Fairweather is looking to control Buck's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fairweather avoid being mounted?

Buck is nestled in close to Fairweather, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Buck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Buck is working for a submission of some sort.
Buck throws a strike but Fairweather avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Fairweather utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buck, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
