Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tad Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flloyd Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tad Shepherd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shepherd tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Roberts defends well and Shepherd ends up having to push Roberts into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Roberts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Shepherd wants to stand and escape but Roberts is having none of it.
Shepherd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roberts controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shepherd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shepherd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roberts on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roberts wants to get back to his feet but Shepherd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Roberts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Shepherd is trying to escape back to his feet but Roberts uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Roberts tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roberts has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Shepherd parries the strikes from Roberts easily there. Roberts is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shepherd to escape.

Shepherd looks to move to half guard but instead Roberts has passed into mount! Damn!
Shepherd is in a horrible position here. Roberts smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Shepherd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roberts has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Shepherd's body.

Roberts is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Shepherd with him. Shepherd is trying to defend but Roberts has an arm under the chin now! Shepherd grimaces and is forced to tap out!
