Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Cabral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geevarghese Haider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geevarghese Haider will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Cabral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geevarghese Haider! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Cabral misses and Haider counters with a two punch combo. Nice body kick from Haider. Cabral stuffs the takedown attempt from Haider. Haider gets slowly back to his feet. Cabral changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Haider looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cabral! Cabral is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Haider off and has taken his back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A bit of a pause in the action here. Cabral controlling the positon. The referee is taking a good look at Haider as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Cabral!
Cabral is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Haider is defending well though. Cabral let's go of the attempt for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabral has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Haider. Haider wants to get back to his feet. Cabral gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Cabral loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Haider hold on?
Haider staying busy and making it hard for Cabral to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haider is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Cabral lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Haider.
Cabral lands punches and elbows. Haider is having to fend off submission attempts from Cabral, who is looking to sink in the choke. Cabral doesn't have the hooks in though and Haider manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Cabral is controlling Haider's posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cabral is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabral working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cabral trying to control the position from guard on top but Haider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cabral's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cabral is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cabral is in close to Haider's body, working some short punches and elbows. Haider keeping moving, preventing Cabral from controlling successfully. Cabral scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Cabral wants to control from the top but Haider keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cabral won't allow Haider to get back to his feet. Cabral is working Haider over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Cabral wants to control from the top but Haider keeps moving. Cabral throwing strikes but missing.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Haider closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cabral circles away. Haider looks winded! Cabral motions for Haider to come forward. Cabral throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Despite the aggression on Haider's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Haider avoids the body shot from Cabral.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cabral throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Geevarghese Haider is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cabral tries for a takedown but Haider circles away easily and Haider counters with a one-two to the body. Cabral misses with a hook to the body
and Haider cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Haider shoots in for a takedown but Cabral shows good takedown defense. Cabral pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Haider shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cabral as he avoids it easily. Cabral appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Haider looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ricardo Cabral has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geevarghese Haider. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haider shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cabral gets a double leg takedown into Haider's guard. Haider is breathing heavily. Cabral is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cabral scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabral connects with a couple of short punches. Haider really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cabral stands and throws Haider's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cabral is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Haider looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cabral gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Haider is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cabral lets go of the hold and Haider can pop his arm back in it's socket.
