Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Columbus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Columbus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Bones! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bones throws an overhand right that lands on Columbus's shoulder, as Columbus tries to avoid the shot. Bones misses with a left hand and Columbus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bones takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Columbus tests Bones's chin there with a solid looking shot. Columbus blocks a jab. Bones misses with a looping left. Columbus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Bones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Columbus manages to avoid it. Columbus swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bones with a hook. Columbus takes a kick to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Columbus lands a slapping body shot.
Bones throws a jab but it's blocked by Columbus. Bones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Columbus jabs Bones to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Columbus takes a swing at Bones's ribcage but misses. Columbus takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round. Columbus drops his hands momentarily and Bones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Bones throws a big shot that misses. Columbus looks to land a right hand but Bones moved out of range. Columbus misses with a hook. Bones ducked under it nicely. Columbus scores with a nice right hand.

A left lands for Bones. Bones throws a head kick but Columbus moves out of range.
Columbus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bones's head. Bones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Columbus finds it's way round the side to connect with Bones's head. Columbus lands a jab to the head.
Bones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Columbus was well out of range. Poor timing from Bones. Nice shot by Columbus. Bones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bones might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Columbus connects with a single shot there. Columbus misses with a wild body shot. Columbus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A cross from Bones lands. Columbus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Columbus connects with the punch. Columbus pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Columbus lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Bones misses with a straight right. Bones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Columbus counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Bones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Columbus is rocked! Bones feints a jab and as Columbus dips his head, Bones unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Columbus right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Columbus falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Bones smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Johnny Bones!
