Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Showtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoel Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Showtime comes to the cage accompanied by Old Toms Hut. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showtime scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Showtime fails to land with a series of punches.
Showtime dives in and grabs Romero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Romero pushes down on Showtime's head and hops out.
Romero tries to counter with a clinch but Showtime shakes him off and moves away.
Showtime cracks Romero with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Showtime moves into range and clinches up with Romero.

Showtime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Romero postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Showtime is looking for a sweep.

Showtime might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The strikes coming from Romero are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Romero misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Showtime shoots in for a double leg but Romero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As Showtime backs off Romero throws a huge counter combo but Showtime manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Showtime. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Despite the aggression on Romero's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Showtime misses with a takedown attempt - Romero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Showtime will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Romero drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Romero gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Romero tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Showtime is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Romero buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Romero!! Romero is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Showtime throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
