The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waker defending well as Taheil loads up on a big left hand.
Waker moves out of range as Taheil strikes.
Taheil gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Waker drops Taheil with a beautiful combination! Taheil stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Waker is looking for the KO!

Taheil is rocked!

It looks like Julian Taheil has been cut.
Waker looks for the body kick but Taheil saw that one coming.
Oh Taheil is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Taheil tries to clinch but Waker moves out of range.
Donk. Taheil catches Waker right on the button with a cross.

Waker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Waker takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Taheil looks to land a left hand but Waker moved out of range nicely.
Taheil seems to have got his legs back now.

Waker lands a nice shot that snaps Taheil's head back.
Waker fails to land with a series of punches.
Taheil doesn't manage to clinch there - Waker circles away.
Waker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Taheil connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Taheil closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Waker to the mat! Waker manages to get full guard.
Taheil won't allow Waker to get back to his feet.

Taheil postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Waker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Taheil, into his guard.

Taheil is looking to cinch up a triangle. Waker throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Taheil's body to avoid the submission. Taheil has instead reached around Waker's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Taheil arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Julian Taheil!
Julian Taheil spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Ron Waker had this to say: 'Thanks for coming out to see me fight. Though I didn't come out on top tonight, I'll be back stronger than ever next time.'.
