Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boros Monet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monet is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Downstait - Open Your Eyes. Boros Monet will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boros Monet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Monet. Those never looked like landing.
Rabago blocks a head kick by Monet.
Rabago fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rabago throws a right and a left that both miss.
Monet lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Monet. Rabago shrugs it off though.
Rabago takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No joy there for Monet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rabago has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in the clinch, Rabago scores with a nice short uppercut.

Monet lands a body punch in the clinch.

Rabago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Monet pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rabago back to the cage. Monet follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Ryan Rabago has been cut.

Monet misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rabago looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Monet throws a low kick but Rabago avoids it.
A little feinted left hand from Rabago on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boros Monet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monet throws a head kick but Rabago moves out of range.
Rabago went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Monet pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rabago back to the cage. Monet follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boros Monet spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
